This day was a life changer for Mason. Savannah helping Mason sprint yesterday enabled a pass home today. It was Mason's first day home since January. Thank you Savannah!!!
Today Mason got a special visitor. Savannah came by with her parents to say hi and brought him a sticker book and a shark. Mason, although very shy had a blast giving Savannah a ride on his wheel chair down to the helicopter pad. Unfortunately no helicopter but still a lot of fun for Mason. Unknown to him, today was his longest sprint yet. Savannah kept Mason entertained and smiling right past his previous best of 2 hours to a full 3 hour sprint today. A big thanks to Barry, Savannah and Lisa for stopping by today and saying hi. Mason, although shy, loves to have visitors.

In January my son was taken to the ER while we were on vacation in San Diego to run in a 1/2 marathon aimed at raising money for the Cure JM organization. He had been battling JDM for many years but just when we thought the tide was turning a huge wave took him down. Mason battled for his life January, February and March. With the help of great people and great doctors Mason is on the road to recovery and is getting stronger each day. 2-3 kids per million are affected by this disease and its harsh effects. Not all children have to battle the sever stages but Mason is as well as many others across the US. We created this concert in an effort to raise awareness and money for the Cure JM organization and the Ronald McDonald house of Portland. Please come join us and enjoy the awesome talent of the many performers.
